Services for Allen P. Ruden, 81, of La Mesa will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Cypress View Bonham Brothers Mortuary under auspices of S.W. Hackett Masonic Lodge 574. Entombment will be in Cypress View Bonham Brothers Mausoleum. He died Wednesday in a hospital.

Mr. Ruden was a native of Castlewood, S.D., and a county resident for 63 years. He had been a policeman and tavern owner and served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Al Bahr Shrine, Knights Templar 25, the Order of the Amaranth, Darius Chapter 61 and Council 22 of the Royal and Select Masters.

Survivors include a son, Robert of San Diego; a daughter, Linda Kleeman of Sunnymead; a brother, Gilbert of South Dakota; two sisters, Agnes Jackley of South Dakota and Alma Love of Lakeside; and five grandchildren.
