August Edward "Augie" Handley, 92, of Ramona died Sunday. He was born in Del Mar and was a rancher and owner of Shadowland Ranch. He was a president of the La Jolla Optimist Club and a member of the Santa Fe Hunt Club.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; daughter, Carol Dalton; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
