Masonic services for Clarence S. "Hank" Renner, 86, of Alpine, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Greenwood Mortuary. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.

He died Wednesday in a hospital.

Mr. Renner, a native of Shelbyville, Ill., was a county resident for 64 years. He served in the Marine Corps in France during World War I, then was a motorcycle officer in the San Diego Police Department for 14 years. After a serious accident, he became a bailiff.

He was a member of the Darius Chapter of the Royal Arch Masons and Blackmer Masonic Lodge 442 and a past commander of the American Legion Police Post.

Survivors include his wife, Rosetta; a son, Robert of San Diego; five sisters, Dorothy Pfeiffer, Sylvah Kimell, Thelma and Edith, all of Shelbyville, and Katherine James of Punta Gorda, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Andria Crellin and Brian Renner, both of San Diego.
