Crispin San Juan San Jose, age 74, of Poway, CA passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. He was born to Exequiel and Dolores on October 26, 1946, in Marilao, Philippines.
He married Violeta in 1969 and shared a wonderful life with her for more than 51 years, beginning their lives in the Philippines, moving to San Diego, and ultimately settling in Poway, CA. Together, they raised one son Glenn. Crispin is survived by his wife and son along with his daughter-in-law Betsy, his two grandchildren Jacob and Makenna, his older sister Corazon, and younger brother Valeriano. Crispin's parents and older brother Artemio had predeceased him.
Crispin had a long, illustrious career in the military and civil service, having served 21 years with the U.S. Navy and retiring as a Ship's Serviceman Chief Petty Officer; 9 years with the San Diego Police Department as a Reservist and a Police Officer; and finally, as a Customs and Border Protection Officer with the Department of Homeland Security where he faithfully served with pride, honor, and dedication for 29 years.
Crispin will always be remembered by his family, friends, and co-workers for his kindness, laughter, and giving spirit. Crispin truly cared for those around him.
