First San Diego City Photographer, dies at 85. Ernest H. Boldrick, a native of San Diego, died October 8, 2003, of natural causes.

Despite being a world traveler, he was always proud to call San Diego his home. He moved to Orange County to be closer to family for a short time.

Ernest spent many years researching the genealogy of his family and writing a book on his adventures.

He was a pillar in his community, serving as a member of various clubs, including PTA and School Bond Issues in the 70s, New Horizons, Lens and Shutter, Silvergate Masonic Temple, and the Elks Lodge. He dedicated numerous years in Business Management at The Naval Electronics Lab, and General Dynamics Astronautic Convair.
