THE THIN BLUE LINE

Francis (Frank) Joseph Steffen, 83, passed away on September 6, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones.

Frank was born and raised in Chicago Il. and after graduating high school he joined the Navy and was stationed in San Diego for four years.

In 1961, he married Marjorie Svoboda at St. Brigids Church and together they raised their 4 children in Pacific Beach.

Frank led a successful career as a San Diego Police Officer for 27 years before retiring in 1993. In his retirement, he enjoyed property management, traveling and visiting with friends and family.

He was preceeded in death by his wife, Marge and daughter Barbara Steffen.

Frank is survived by his children, Mary Pimentel, Frank Steffen, and Karen Silva, 6 grandchildren and partner Frances Coronado and family.

We will forver miss his quick wit followed by his amazing smile and laughter.
