COMMISSIONER II JOE NAVARRO
SERVING SINCE 2025
Commissioner Joe Navarro served the San Diego Police Department from February 1982 to his formal retirement in February 2008. Joe retired as a Sergeant from the department’s Gang Unit.
Prior to his service with the City of San Diego Police Department, Joe served the City of Chula Vista as a level I police reserve officer from 1980 to 1982.
Joe left SDPD in 2005 to serve his tribal community, the San Pasqual Band of Indians with the Tribe’s gaming operation, Valley View Casino & Hotel, where he has served as the Tribe’s gaming corporation President & CEO for more than 23 years.
