CAPTAIN JONATHAN D. LOWE
SERVING SINCE 1999
Captain Jonathan Lowe has been with the San Diego Police Department since 1999. As a native San Diegan, Capt. Lowe was always drawn to serving his community. Prior to joining law enforcement, Capt. Lowe was an EMT with a local ambulance company.
Capt. Lowe worked 18 years in the field in Eastern, Western, Northern and Mid-City patrol divisions. While in patrol, Capt. Lowe served as a Field Training Officer and a member of S.W.A.T. Capt. Lowe also worked in the Backgrounds & Recruiting Unit as the Recruiting Sergeant, before being promoted to Lieutenant. Captain Lowe is currently the commanding officer of Eastern Division.
Capt. Lowe has always had a heart for people with disabilities. His mission is to ensure that all individuals receive equitable service from officers and to make sure that officers are equipped with the most up-to-date information on the various communities they serve. Capt. Lowe is fluent in American Sign Language, and his goal is to become an interpreter someday.
