A funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Evergreen Staples Funeral Chapel in Vancouver, Wash., for Jack Hardy Sutton, 61, who died of cancer Friday.

Mr. Sutton was born Nov. 12, 1928, in Bauxite, Ark. He was an officer in the San Diego Police Department before moving to Vancouver two years ago.

Mr. Sutton is survived by his wife, Vienna of Vancouver; stepsons David Nelson of Vancouver, Daniel Nelson of Gresham, and Michael Nelson and Richard Nelson, both of Portland; stepdaughters, Janice Dunaway of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Vienna Lafrenz of Tigard, and a sister, Wanda Hudson of San Diego. He had 10 grandchildren.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Navy. He also was a member of the Elks and the American Association of Retired Persons.
