James Robert Bob Manis

Child of God, Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Friend, Marine, San Diego Police Officer, and True American, Bob passed from this world into eternity on Veterans Day, November 11, 2021.

Bob is predeceased by his parents James Joseph Manis and Velva Swanee Hendricks, and his siblings Gordon Manis, Glee Harlan, and Sherrie Whittaker.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 41 years, Susan Jochums Manis, and his siblings Colleen Sutton, Pam Harris Perry, Megan Jones, and Timothy Hendricks.
Bob's legacy begins with his four children and their spouses: Stephen Fletcher Manis and his wife, Leslie Manis; Julia Lark Vaughn; Shelly Dawn Allen and her husband, Julius Allen; and Kyle Robert Jochums Manis and his wife, Elizabeth Black. Bob was blessed with 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Private interment service at Miramar National Cemetery.
