JOHNSON, JAMES O. April 15, 1949 to Jan. 5, 2004

James O. Johnson, 54, retired San Diego police officer, died of a stroke at his Mira Mesa home.

Born in St. Maries, Idaho; attended CSULB, graduate of University of State of New York. He was a third year student at Claremont School of Theology. He was a member of Hope United Methodist Church, (UMC) Rancho Bernardo, and the Mission de Acala, San Diego.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, J.T. and Blanca Johnson, Anaheim; mother Jeanne Johnson, a sister and husband, Sally and Patrick Coghlan, their children, Joseph, Maureen, Gridley, Calif.; brother and wife, Thomas and Bonnie Johnson, Atlanta, Ga.; brother, John Johnson, Huntington Beach; a daughter, Lynn Kahler, three grandchildren, Patrick, John, Andrea, Grass Valley, and many colleagues, friends and loved ones.
