THE THIN BLUE LINE

Jim is a fourth generation San Diegan who went to St. Augustine High School before moving on to graduate from the University of Santa Clara with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree majoring in Accounting. Jim received his CPA certificate from the State of California in 1983 and continued his education receiving a Masters Degree in Taxation in 1994.

He is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has been on the Executive Board of the Gaslamp Business Improvement District since 1995 serving as its Treasurer.

Jim is married (to another CPA, Joy) and has three children. He donates time to the community serving as the Varsity Surf Team coach at St. Augustine High School in the Fall of each year since 1996.
