De LARA -- Jose Sr., 89, passed on Oct. 25, 1997.

He was a Pearl Harbor survivor and served in the United States Navy 30 years.

After retiring from the Navy he worked 15 years in the Jail Division of the San Diego Police Dept.

He was a resident of El Cajon for 59 years.

Survived by his daughters Lynn D. Montoya of Union City, CA, Vernelle Williams of El Cajon, sons Jose Jr. and Carlos all of El Cajon, 8 grandchildren Louise Ann, Andrew, David, Jose III, Lynnell, Dennis, Darrielle and Cori, also 8 great grandchildren Andrea, Andrew, Louis, D.J., Joshua, Kristle, Christopher and Michael.
