Memorial services for Kenneth L. Tallmon, 58, of Clairemont, were held at 1 p.m. on January 8, 1988,  in Kate Sessions Park in Pacific Beach.

Cremation was planned by Pacific Beach Mortuary, with ashes to be scattered at sea.

He died Monday in a hospital.

Mr. Tallmon was born in Wyoming, lived in the county for 37 years and was a San Diego police officer for 18 years, beginning in 1952.

He was last employed as a Sheraton Hotel security supervisor on Harbor Island.  He served in the Marine Corps for eight years, reaching the rank of sergeant.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a son, James, a daughter, Sharron, and his mother, Clara, all of San Diego; and a brother, Harvey, of Garden Grove. The family suggested donations to the American Heart Association.
