LOUIS C. McLAURIN III Gary, Indiana Age 66, passed away at Methodist Hospital Northlake on Saturday, January 24, 2009.

He was a First Lieutenant with the Marine Corps as a Communications Officer.

Louis was a graduate of Roosevelt High School Class of 1961. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1961 to 1971.

In 1972 he worked for the San Diego Police Department.

He was preceded in death by parents, Louis C. McLaurin II, and Pearlie McLaurin. Survivors 4 sons, Louis (Jane) McLaurin IV, Darrell David McLaurin, Keith (Rosetta) McLaurin, and Derrick McLaurin; daughter, Erica Page Franchex; special friend, Diane Smith; 2 brothers, Kenneth McLaurin, Calvin D. McLaurin; 5 sisters, Charlene Millard, Bobbie D. McLaurin, Pamela (Charles) Sado, Elana D. (Matthew) Harris, and Darla McLaurin; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews; best friend and cousin, Ezell (Leomi) Wills; from a previous marriage Marva K. McLaurin; special friend, Jermaine Smith; other relatives and friends.

Interment at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
