Retired Army Maj. Louis C. Raybould, 72, of Paradise Hills, died Jan. 6 in his home. Cypress View-Bonham Brothers Mortuary was in charge of cremation, with inurnment in Cypress View Mausoleum. No services were scheduled.

Mr. Raybould was born in Utah, lived in the county 32 years, served in the Army from 1941 to 1961 and had been a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He later worked as a San Diego Police Department dispatcher for 16 years. Mr. Raybould was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6874 and the Retired Army Officers Association. Survivors include a daughter, Marlys McEntire of San Diego; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
