It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marc Courtney Galbraith at the age of 76. Marc is survived by his wife, Faye, with whom he shared more than 50 years of marriage. He is also survived by his daughter, Summer Howard, and his grandson, Th
eo. He was preceded in death by his son, Jason, and is remembered by Jason's daughter, Kierstin, and her children, Evelyn and Carter, Marc's greatgrandchildren.
Marc is also survived by his brother, Scott, and his sister, Mary.
Marc was born in Pasco, Washington, in 1949. After his family moved to Portland, he graduated from Washington High School. He later joined the United States Marine Corps and was assigned to combat duty in Vietnam.
Following his military service, Marc worked for the San Diego Police Department, serving in the North San Diego precinct. He eventually returned to Portland, where he became a highly skilled and passionate fisherman. Marc went on to host the popular radio and television series fishing the West, filming and broadcasting throughout the Pacific Northwest. He deeply loved the outdoors and the life it offered.
In his later years, Marc and his wife Faye moved to Deary, Idaho, where he embraced life as a gentleman farmer, surrounded by his faithful dogs and the land he loved.
He will be deeply missed.
