Olen C. "Mac" McCullough, 83, Deming resident passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at his home.

Olen was born September 7, 1934 at Pond Creek, Oklahoma to Georgia Harrison and Cecil C. McCullough. He served honorably in the U. S. Navy from January 10, 1952 to January 9, 1960.

On March 20, 1955 he married Jacklin K. Lester in San Diego, California. Olen retired from San Diego Police Department in 1975, moved to Texas in 1977 and started coming to Deming in 1996, continued to travel and made Deming their permanent home in 2006.

Olen and Jacklin have enjoyed their years in Deming and attend the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Jacklin of the home; two brothers, William McCullough of South Padre Island, Texas and Harrison McCullough of Show-Low, Arizona; two sisters, Sandra Ferguson of Elkton, Oregon and Bonnie Emmett of San Marcos, California and a step brother Willliam Zehner of El Cajon, California.

Preceding in death are his parents, Cecil C. and Georgia McCullough.
