Rodney Stromenger served his country in the United States Navy for 29 years including two tours in Vietnam. For his service he received two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star.

He was also a former San Diego Police Officer. 

He loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle having made the run to the Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial in Washington DC.  

Rodney was a survivalist and his hobbies included participation in Calvary Days, Mule Days and parades. He enjoyed shooting his guns and loved teaching people how to reload rounds.

Rodney had no surviving family but many friends. He was buried at Miramar National Cemetery with full military honors.
