Services for Walter H. Miller Jr., 62, of Las Vegas, will be at noon Saturday in Palm Chapel in Las Vegas. Cremation was planned by Palm Mortuary.  He died Tuesday in a Las Vegas hospital.

Mr. Miller was born in San Diego, lived in the county 40 years and was a San Diego police officer for 12 years before moving to Las Vegas, where he was a hotel security guard for 22 years.  He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; three sons, Scott and Larry, both of Las Vegas, and Don, of Long Beach; two daughters, Darla and Debbie, both of California; his mother, Juanita Coy of National City; a sister, Ardith Reeser of Campo; and five grandchildren.
