Deceased Name: William H. Jillard 

Services for William H. Jillard, 72, of Lomita Village, were June 10 in Skyline Wesleyan Church in Lemon Grove.  Burial was in Glen Abbey Memorial Park. He died June 7 at his home.

Mr. Jillard was a native of Philadelphia, lived in the county 35 years and retired from the San Diego Police Department in 1975.  He also served 22 years in the Police Reserve, in which he remained active until his death.  He also had been a General Dynamics electronics technician.

He was a 33-year charter member of the church, was a Veterans Hospital volunteer for seven years, had been a National Guardsman and served in the Marine Corps during World War II, attaining the rank of corporal.

Survivors include his wife, Blanche; two sons, William of Spring Valley and James of Santee; three daughters, Jill Sing and Joyce Williams, both of La Mesa, and JoAnn Morris of Spring Valley; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
