Jesse Raymond Almos, a retired member from the San Diego Police Department, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2023 in his sleep at the age of 75.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Karen Almos; his daughters, Monica Marie (Mike Nighbert), Danielle Aguilar (Rick Aguilar), Jessica Heidemann (Travis Finch), and Kira, Jordan and Paige Almos; his sister, Maria Almos Piccirilli and his brother, Steve Almos; and his grandchildren, Carolyn, Kayla, and Ella Aguilar, Jake Heidemann, Ethan Finch, Natalie Nighbert, and Julia Almos. He is predeceased by his mother, Julia Banks; and late-wife, Gwen Almos (Hubbs).

Jesse was born on July 31, 1947 to Julia Banks. He began his journey on the San Diego Police Department on February 6, 1970. He continued to serve and protect his community for 34 years in the department prior to his retirement.

Jesse was not only devoted to his occupation as a police officer, but also dedicated his entire being to fatherhood and family. His passion for travel and history was illustrated through his excursions across Europe. He engulfed himself within the culture, food, and monuments of sites in Italy, France, and England. Trips to the Vatican, Rome, Venice, Paris, and London reminded him the joy life can bring.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing between 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on January 19, 2023, in addition to a Rosary at 7:00 p.m at Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary located at 333 North Vine Street, Fallbrook, CA 92028.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on January 20, 2023 at the Pechanga Cemetery at St. Michael Church located at 31732, 33384 Pechanga Road, Temecula, California 92592 with a reception to follow.
