John P. White, 91, of Lakeside, died May 20, 2005. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, moved to Santee at age 6.

He joined the San Diego Police Department and retired after 21 years.

After retiring he worked for Title Insurance and retired after 16 years.

He is survived by his wife Obera "BeBe"; brother, Carl, sister-in-law Ruth, sister Margo Bonitila, several nieces and nephews.
