On September 14, 2024, the city of San Diego renamed Grape Street Park, The Officer Roupp and Tonahill Memorial Park. The renaming was spearheaded by the best friend of Officer Kim Tonahill whom along with Officer Timothy Ruopp, had their lives stolen from them exactly 40 years earlier.
