Wayne G. Stevie Sr., 60, of Carlton, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1992, at home.

He was born Oct. 14, 1932, to Wesley H. and Leona H. (Daugherty) Stevie at Sheridan, Wyo., where he was raised.

He moved to San Diego at 15.

Mr. Stevie married Barbara J. Friend on Feb. 14, 1956, at Las Vegas. He was a member of the San Diego Police Department before moving to Carlton in 1958 and working as a timber faller. He was a member of the Twisp American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, at home; three sons, Wayne ''Bud'' Jr. of Twisp, John of Carlton and Fred of Bothell; two daughters, Michelle of Olympia and Jeri of Chelan; a sister, Georgia Hansen of Cashmere; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Arrangements are by Precht's Methow Valley Chapel.
