Commissioner Arthur is a native San Diegan. He comes from a law enforcement family.

His late father, Detective Eugene M. Arthur, served the  San Diego Police Department from 1942 until his retirement in 1967 at the rank of Detective.

Commissioner Arthur is also the brother of James Arthur who served the San Diego Police Department 1978 - 2009 when he retired as a Detective Sergeant.

Commissioner Arthur is a graduate of San Diego State University and California Western School of Law.  As a member of the State Bar of California, he has over 30 years of trial and courtroom experience. His office provides criminal defense, domestic and civil representation to men, women and juveniles throughout California courts. His office also provides representation to licensed Bail Bond Offices seeking extensions and exonerations on surety bail bonds.

As a native San Diegan, Commissioner Arthur enjoys travel, playing soccer, the beach and hiking.  His office sponsors charitable causes, athletic teams and individual athletes.  Additional information can be found at www.edwardarthurlaw.com.
