In late 1945, ninety San Diego Police Officers returned home from World War II.  Justifably, they were honored as heroes by their country, their city and their police department.

Regrettably, one man, Patrolman Frank Myrick, did not return.  He died in combat in Italy on July 17, 1944. He will be forever immortalized as one of SDPD’s fallen. Click on the individual photo of a hero for more information (if available).
